Scope and purpose
This Privacy Policy explains how Praxio collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use the Praxio iPhone app, website, support surfaces, and any connected family features.
Praxio is built for learners and families, so the goal of this policy is to describe product reality in plain language rather than hide important decisions behind abstract legal wording.
Who this policy applies to
Learners who create or use a Praxio account.
Parents or guardians who create their own account, accept a learner invite, or receive a family digest.
Visitors to the Praxio website, support pages, and account entry points.
Anyone who contacts Praxio support, submits feedback, or makes a privacy request.
Information we collect directly
Account and profile details such as first name, email address, role, grade level, birthday or age-related information, and study preferences.
Authentication information needed to create an account, sign in, recover access, and keep the account secure.
Support and feedback details such as contact requests, bug reports, screenshots, message contents, and any follow-up information you choose to send.
Subscription and billing-adjacent details such as plan tier, entitlement state, receipt-related metadata, renewal or cancellation status, and support history related to paid access.
Learning and product activity we collect
Practice responses, session history, completion status, accuracy, XP, streaks, achievements, and mastery progress.
Study configuration such as schedule settings, reminder preferences, selected interests, and topic or skill targeting choices.
Question flags, explanation interactions, settings detail views, and other product events used to understand reliability and product usefulness.
Parent connection activity such as invite sends, invite accepts or declines, digest preferences, and connected-family relationship state.
Technical information we collect
Device type, operating system version, app version, browser details, crash or diagnostic information, and request metadata needed to keep Praxio reliable and secure.
Basic usage and anti-abuse signals that help prevent fraud, account misuse, spam, impersonation, or attempts to bypass access controls.
Website and support-surface activity such as page visits and navigation context that helps us understand whether public information is reachable and useful.
How we use information
To create and secure accounts, authenticate users, and restore access across sessions or devices.
To personalize practice, show progress, deliver reminders, and support family visibility features that the product makes explicit.
To operate subscriptions, entitlement access, parent connections, and support workflows tied to account state.
To investigate bugs, reproduce problems, monitor product reliability, prevent misuse, and improve how Praxio works over time.
To communicate with users about account access, privacy requests, family requests, support cases, and material service updates.
How family visibility works
Praxio includes family-oriented product features. A learner can invite a parent or guardian, and that connection is meant to stay visible within the product. Parent visibility is treated as an explicit feature, not hidden surveillance.
A connected parent may receive account or progress information that the product is designed to share through that family relationship, such as progress summaries, streak context, or digest-style updates. Family relationships can also be disconnected later.
Children, teens, and parent oversight
Praxio is used by minors, so age and family oversight matter. If a learner is below the age required to manage an account independently under applicable law, a parent or guardian must help create, supervise, or connect the account.
If we learn that a child is using Praxio in a way that requires parental involvement and that involvement is missing, we may limit features, require family setup, or take other steps needed to restore compliant account use.
When we share information
With service providers that help Praxio run, such as hosting, database, authentication, analytics, email, customer-support, infrastructure, and billing providers.
Within a connected family context, such as when a learner invites a parent to view progress or receive family updates.
When required for legal process, safety, fraud prevention, abuse prevention, or a business transfer involving Praxio.
What we do not do
We do not describe Praxio as ad-tech, data-broker, or resale-driven data collection.
We do not treat family visibility as a hidden tracking feature.
We do not promise perfect security, uninterrupted service, or universal legal eligibility in every jurisdiction.
We do not claim that every support request can be resolved instantly or without verifying account ownership first.
Retention
We keep information for as long as the account, support relationship, security needs, legal obligations, and legitimate business needs require it.
Different categories of data may be retained for different periods depending on whether they are needed for active product use, account recovery, fraud prevention, legal compliance, or support investigations.
If an account is deleted, some records may remain for audit, abuse-prevention, financial, or legal reasons where retention is reasonably necessary.
Your choices and requests
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, export, deletion, or other information about how your data is handled.
For account-level requests, contact support from the email tied to the relevant Praxio account whenever possible so we can verify ownership faster.
Parents or guardians may also contact support about family-account visibility, connected learner questions, or age-related oversight issues.
Security and incident response
Praxio uses administrative, technical, and organizational measures intended to protect account and product data. No system is perfectly secure, and Praxio cannot guarantee that a security event will never happen.
If Praxio identifies a security issue that requires notice under applicable law or product responsibility, we may investigate, contain the issue, and communicate with affected users or authorities as appropriate.
International and regional considerations
Praxio may operate with infrastructure or service providers in more than one location. By using the service, you understand that information may be processed where Praxio or its providers operate, subject to applicable law.
This policy is product-facing and intended to stay readable. It does not attempt to reproduce every region-specific privacy term or legal definition inside the body of the app experience.
Changes to this policy
Praxio may update this policy as the product, support workflows, subscriptions, family features, or legal obligations change.
When the policy changes materially, Praxio may update the website, update in-product links, and revise the public last-updated date shown on this page.
